The Spanish I course is designed for secondary students who have preliminary or no background knowledge of Spanish. Students will be introduced to the Spanish language and culture through the four modes of communication. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will be incorporated on a beginning level. Pronunciation and conversational expressions will be stressed.
This course supports and is aligned to the success orientations, competencies, and knowledge noted in the QSI Program Outcomes.
Secondary Spanish I consists of ten essential units. The normal pace for this course leads to mastery of the ten essential units during a time appropriate for a non-native Spanish language learner. Some of the units may take more time than the others.

Welcome to QSI Secondary Spanish II. This course is designed for secondary students who have mastered Spanish I. Students will be introduced to the Spanish language and culture through the four modes of communication. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will be incorporated on an intermediate level. Pronunciation and conversational expressions will be stressed. In addition, students will use past, present, and future verb tenses to express ideas when speaking and writing.
This course supports and is aligned to the success orientations, competencies, and knowledge noted in the QSI Program Outcomes. It also meets the five standards of Foreign Language Education: Communication, Culture, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities.

Welcome to QSI Secondary Spanish IV. The Spanish IV course is designed for secondary students who have mastered Spanish III or Spanish native speakers who want to go explore literature and culture through the language. Students will be introduced to the Spanish language and culture through the four modes of communication. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills will be incorporated at an advanced level.
